Iranian miniature (painting) is a traditional style of painting that has colorful and extremely elegant details and often represents a mythical or religious subject. Due to its long history, Iran has a rich artistic heritage, one of which is Iranian painting. In fact, the only similarities between Iranian miniatures and China, Japan, and Europe are mostly small-scale, and there are other unique features about Iranian miniatures. The first is its delicate and rich details, despite its small size, the artist has not forgotten any details that catch the eye of any viewer, some of the paintings are so delicate that you need a magnifying glass to see the exact beauty of it .Iranian painting is a small painting on paper, leather, bone, etc., it can be a picture of a book or a separate work of art that is to be kept in an album. The techniques used in Iranian painting are widely comparable to Western and Byzantine miniature traditions in clear manuscripts. Although there is an Iranian tradition in the field of murals, the survival rate and status of miniatures are better, as Iranian painting is the most well-known form of Iranian painting in the West, and many of the most important works are in Western or Turkish museums. Miniature painting became known as an important genre in Persian art in the 13th century, and after the Mongol conquests, it was influenced by China, and the highest point in this art was reached in the 15th and 16th centuries. This art continued under the influence of Western art and had many modern representatives. Iranian miniature painting had a major impact on other Islamic painting arts, mainly Ottoman miniatures in Turkey and Mongol miniatures in the Indian subcontinent.
