The term Iranian painting refers to several styles of Iranian painting in different historical periods that can be related to a larger work of art such as books, functional and decorative things and with several methods such as flowers and birds(Golomorgh) gilding, poetry or as a separate work such as canvas, bead or mural.
It is a kind of delicate and miniature painting of Iran, which in the past was mostly used for literary, scientific and medical book decoration .
The registration methods of Iranian painting schools are based on the centrality of the ruling empire of the country.

Today, painting on the walls is done on boxes, pens, bones, wood, and trigger papers, or on paper on fabric and leather on cardboard to decorate the walls.
